Grand Champion Award

New for the 2026–2027 Season

The NDCCA Grand Champion Award recognizes teams that demonstrate excellence across multiple competition divisions at the NDCCA State Competition.

Grand Champion Awards

The Grand Champion Award is presented exclusively at the NDCCA State Competition.

One Grand Champion will be awarded in each classification:

  1. Class AA

  2. Class A/B

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Grand Champion Award at State Competition:

  • Teams must compete in Time Out, Game Day, and Performance Routine at State.

  • Teams must remain in the same size division throughout the State Competition to be considered.

  • Grand Champion eligibility is determined separately for Class AA and Class A/B.

Grand Champion Selection

The Grand Champion is determined by combining each team's scores from Time Out, Game Day, and Performance Routine at the NDCCA State Competition.

  • Each team's scores from all three performances will be totaled together.

  • The team with the highest combined score within its classification will be awarded Grand Champion.

  • Grand Champion will be determined separately for Class AA and Class A/B.

Recognition

One Grand Champion will be awarded for Class AA and one Grand Champion will be awarded for Class A/B at the NDCCA State Competition.

Teams receiving the Grand Champion Award will have the opportunity to purchase Grand Champion shirts and sweatshirts through the NDCCA clothing vendor.
